Monday we took Malea on her first trip to mommy's work to meet all of mommy's co-workers, and then out for pizza. She did such a great job! She slept for the car-ride, was a champ at South Slope, and slept all through lunch. She is such an easy-going baby, and makes it so easy on mommy and daddy. Tuesday Grammy helped around the house a LOT... Joel got home and commented on how great everything looked. I said, "yeah mom cleaned those windows, mom scrubbed that floor, mom scrubbed the showers, mom did this, mom did that, etc etc etc..." Joel said, "well what the heck did YOU do?" Even though I felt like I had worked hard too and kept just as busy during the day, I had a hard time coming up with the things I did around the house.... LOL!!! My mom is amazing, and was such a huge help!! I don't know how she does it!
Wednesday was a fun day too! Malea had her first "girls day" with Mommy, Grammy, Aunt Jodi, and cousin/best friend, Aubrey:-) We had an amazing brunch at Grammy's house, and spent all morning with the girls! Malea even got her very own tea-set. We look forward to many more girls days like that!!
Here's a cute picture of Aubrey helping Malea open her tea set!
Thursday morning was Malea's doctor's appointment, then we ran errands and got groceries (thankfully with Grandma's help!) and made it all the way back home before Malea "asked" to be fed. What a trooper! Again, I am so thankful for how easy-going she is! Thursday night was a very special night for Malea because she got to meet her Uncle Ryan and Aunt Amanda! We were so excited they were able to make it back from Nashville to meet their niece. Malea was so excited to meet them, and is equally as excited for them to come back to Iowa again! It was definitely a fun week and I'm bummed it's over, but I was excited when Joel reminded me he doesn't have to work tomorrow because of Memorial Day. Yay!!! Looking forward to a fun day together.... just the 3 of us: )
So no matter how you look at it....
whether it be 2 and 1/2 weeks...
18 days....
432 hours...
25,920 minutes...
or 1,555,200 seconds....
we have enjoyed every moment with our new little love. She really is the greatest blessing in the world!
