We're Home!

It's been a great couple days since Malea made her debut, and we have really enjoyed all of our wonderful visitors at the hospital!  But we are so glad that we are now nestled in at HOME!!  I think Malea says it best.... 

WE'RE POOPED!!!! : )

Things continue to go great.  Malea has been very alert!  She slept very well last night, and as Joel likes to put it, "she likes to eat like her mommy and daddy" ...  she's a good little eater!  The last time they weighed her, she weighed 6 lbs 12.5 ounces, and the doctor told us that was great that's all she had lost from her birth weight.  All of her squeaks, peeps, and grunts she makes crack us up.  She sounds so darn cute... Mom and Dad stopped over for a minute tonight to bring us a fantastic dinner (actually enough meals to feed an army for an entire week - my mother is the best, huh!!!)  and they both laughed so hard when they heard her squeaking... it's the cutest little sound.  Even her little cry is adorable (let's see how long I continue to think that; ) 

Ready to head HOME!!

We headed home shortly after lunch, and I made Joel be chaueffer so I could sit in back with the princess.  It is awesome to be home, but we are so exhausted that we haven't taken the time to show Malea her home! We look forward to doing that tomorrow: )  I know many of you keep asking what her nursery looks like, so here are a few quick pictures!  I need to decorate her walls, but I'm in no hurry.... she doesn't know the difference anyway.

I could go on and on about our past few days getting to know our daughter, but I'm jealous of daddy and Malea both sound asleep, and I'm thinking I had better follow suit while I can!  I promise to try my best to keep the blog up to date, so keep checking back!  I don't have the patience tonight to upload a ton of pictures, so hopefully the few below will do for now: )

People keep saying they're mad because mommy hasn't posted any pictures of her with me, so here you go... just mommy and me!!

Uncle Shane and my cuz Mitchell came to visit me too!  When they left, Mitchell said, "Daddy, I miss Malea."  AWE!!!! Priceless!  I miss you too buddy!!!

So much for my nap I was gonna squeeze in.  Miss Malea is now wide-eyed and giving me the look: )
