Hawkeye Fever

The Hawks are off to a 4-0 start after they picked up 2 more wins the past 2 weekends.  The first of those came against Arizona.  It was another great weekend of tailgating and football in Iowa City!  We had an awesome crew for tailgating... my cousin, Monica, was here from California and I think she caught the Hawkeye fever because I know she watched last weekend's game from home as well; )  It was so awesome having her here to see a game with us!!  Our good friends, Matt & Pam, came down from Minnesota as well.  They come to a game with us every season, and I always look forward to next year's game as soon as they head home from this year's.  It's always a great time when they're down!  My cousin's Ashlee & Nic, and Nate & Nikki were able to come as well, so there definitely wasn't a lack of entertainment amongst us: )  My good friend, Ashley, swung by for a bit too!  And of course all of the "usuals": )  It was so great to see everybody, and what an awesome weekend!

The Hawks picked up their 4th win of the season with a BIG win over Penn State!  Joel and I watched the game with Brock at Eggy's in North Liberty.  The first quarter was ugly, but what an exciting game after that!!!  I thought our defense was pretty remarkable!  They really made some awesome plays (my favorite was probably Adrian Clayborn's blocked punt.  You don't see that too often.)  I think we were as intense watching the game on television as we usually are watching it in person.  There was just so much excitement!  Hopefully the Hawks keep up their momentum as we head into this weekend's game against Arkansas State.  Hopefully the offense will get better every game, and the defense continues to play outstanding.  Go Hawks!!!
