HAWKEYES 35 - Cyclones 3
Now THAT'S more like it!!!! Joel and I ventured to Ames with our friends Michael & Rachel for the IOWA/ISU game. They both went to ISU, needless to say, the 4 of us were sporting different colors: ) We got to meet Rachel's folks (who are "fo-nominal"; ), and I got to see Larissa too (which was long overdue!) Even though Joel & I were the only two sporting black & gold at our tailgate, we suprisingly didn't get too much grief before the game, and it's a good thing too or we would have been dishing it right back out afterwards!! Joel & Michael insisted that the 2 of them sit together "just a few rows down" from Rach and I.... well their "few rows" actually meant row 3 on the 40 yard line right behind the Iowa bench. Rachel and I were actually about 3 rows from something as well... unfortunately in our case it was from the top of the stadium! Hah! But actually, we had a great view of the game from our seats! And oh what a game it was!!! 35 to 3 goodguys! I was impressed with Brandon Wegher... I think he ran for over 100 yards. Not bad for a freshman! I think between he and Robinson, we'll be alright (as long as they keep Paki out of there- hehe) I thought the hawks looked good after they got the 1st quarter under their belts. Let's just hope we can keep this winning streak going... knock-knock (that was me knocking on wood: ) Anyway, it was great to get a big W over the cyclones, and IT'S GREAT TO BE A HAWKEYE!!! We are definitely looking forward to a great weekend ahead too as the Hawks take on Arizona! My cousin, Monica, will be here from California, so we're really looking forward to giving her a taste of HAWKEYE FOOTBALL!!! The Steffen's will be down from Minnesota too, so I can't wait! It's bound to be a GREAT weekend!!!
