REAL smiles: )

I was so tickled on Tuesday when I was talking to Malea, and she smiled her first REAL smile!  It wasn't one of her sleep smiles, or even a gassy smile... it was a REAL smile.  The kind that fools me into thinking she really knows what I am saying, and she's smiling because of it: )  I look forward to lots and lots and lots more of those precious smiles!  Great-grandpa Brenneman had her smiling yesterday, and she was all smiles cuddling with my Dad tonight too!  Tomorrow I will get the camera out and try to catch one to share with you.  Here is a picture from yesterday of Brayden, Nolan, Aubrey, Grandpa Brenneman, and Malea.
Yesterday Malea turned 8 weeks old.  YIKES!  It really is crazy to think that our baby is 8 weeks old.  Again I find myself saying, where does time go??  She has her 2 month check next Tuesday, so we're anxious to hear her stats.  I tried weighing her at home the other day, and I'm pretty positive she broke 11 pounds!!

Tonight I changed her diaper, then left her on the changing table for a quick second while I grabbed her some jammies out of the closet.  (Don't worry... she's not able to roll yet: )  But anyway, when I was in the closet she screamed like I have never heard her scream before.  It broke my heart as I quickly tried to figure out what was wrong.  I rubbed her tummy, kissed her cheek, but she was still SCREAMING.  Then I realized what was going on... she had a hold of her hair.  And I'm not talking just one piece of hair, she had a whole handful!  She had her fist clenched so tight, I could not even pry her hand open to let go of her hair.  Heck I would cry too if I was pulling my own hair that hard.  I tried to no avail to get her to let go.  Finally I was able to loosen her grip enough to let go of her hair, and she instantly stopped crying.  Luckily the hair remained attached to her head: )  She had such a grip on her hair that when I finally got her hand pried open, her fingers were all white as a ghost from gripping so tight.  I bet she won't do that again.  It was the craziest thing... silly little babe!
