SO..... I had the pleasure of seeing Margene, a very good friend of mine from college, at the Hawkeye game on Saturday. One of the first things she said to me was, "Um Heidi.... you need to update your blog! It's been on "Orchard and Outdoors" far too long!" LOL! So.... I thought I had better get my butt in gear so I can get her off my back! Haha!!! Since Margene was the inspiration I needed to get some new posts up, I thought I would thank her by starting my post off with a picture of her and her ADORABLE baby bump! Malea is so excited she is going to have another playmate in January!! Congrats Margene and Josh! Can't wait to meet baby girl Shullaw!!!

So I promise I don't let Malea watch a lot of tv... but one thing she honestly loves is football.... especially Hawkeye football! If there is football on tv, she is fixated.... if you put her back towards the tv, she seriously turns her neck around like an owl trying to watch it: ) For the last away game I was laying on the floor playing with her... she was giggling at me for quite a while, but then I kid you not she was glued to the game. I couldn't resist taking this picture of her watching the Hawks in action. She totally fits the part in her Hawkeye jersey from the Detterman's and her Iowa football headband that my friend Lisa made for her. Now THAT is dedication... ya gotta train them young I guess! Hehe:o)
The Northwestern game was a ton of fun! Not only was it a night game (which means an awesomely long day of tailgating), but the Steffen's were in town for the weekend! We love the Steffen's and always have such a blast with them. This year was no exception. It was the black and gold spirit game, so I actually took my camera to the game with me because it looked so awesome last year. Well this year looked even better, and all of the fans did a "card stunt" during the national anthem that looked INCREDIBLE!!!! I would love to get a good ariel shot of that game blown up to hang in our basement. It was so awesome!

This past weekend was a lot of fun too. We were super bummed Joel ended up having to work though. It was actually a much smaller tailgating crowd than usual, but we know how to have a good time regardless: ) Joel's cousin, Tisha, and her husband, Ryan, rode down with me. It was so fun having them there!!
