Well the "Cookies for a Cause" was definitely a success again this year! For anybody who doesn't know what this is, it is a fundraiser that Jodi started last year to raise money for the American Heart Association since February is National Heart Month. Orders were still rolling in after the deadline, so we had to cut off at 100 dozen... yes that's right... 100 dozen cookies! That's 1200 cookies that our family baked and frosted! Mom and Dad spent a whole day baking the cookies, and then we had a "frosting fest" the following day to frost them all. The Volz residence looked like a bakery with the tables of endless cookies spread out all over: ) Thank you to all who ordered some cookies to support such a great cause!
