Michelle

I had an awesome weekend... my hilight by far was getting to see one of my best friends ever, Michelle... Michelle and I lived across the hall from each other our freshman year of college.  We became instant friends and really had some great times at UNI.  After college, Michelle left to teach in China, and his been there ever since.  The last time I got to see her was at my wedding (almost 3 years ago!) where she was one of my beautiful bridesmaids.  She was back for a short time this summer, and Joel and I were able to grab lunch with her when she was in Iowa City for a wedding.  We had a great chat with her, but it went way too fast.  We both agreed we could have sat there talking for days... the thing I love about her is that no matter how long we go without getting to see one another, we always pick up right where we left off.  What a truly incredible friend!!  She has one year left of teaching in China as she finishes up her Master's, and then has to decide whether or not to move back to the states, or to teach abroad somewhere else.  It's easy for me to be selfish and want her to move back here, but on the other hand, what an awesome opportunity she has had abroad!  It was so good to see you Michelle!!!
