I hope you get as big of a chuckle out of this next picture as I did... my friends George & Larissa always give me a hard time about being such a big Hawkeye fan. They are always the first to call and rub it in if the Hawks happen to lose (especially if it's against you know who). George has been known to put cyclone magnets on my car every time I go up to visit them in Osage. And now that they have little Isaac, they tend to deck him out in cyclone apparel whenever I get to see him. Well, I'm pretty sure Isaac is going to be a Hawkeye fan, or atleast a panther fan, because if you look at his facial expression in this "horrid" outfit they put him in, even little Isaac is asking, "I-S-WHO?!" :o) Get him out of that thing Riss!!! HAHA!

IOWA / ISU game
When I said I would post some good tailgating pictures from the IOWA / ISU game, this isn't really what I meant by "good"... I was not expecting the muddy mess that awaited us!!! The lot we tailgate in is a grass lot... mix this with the days of rain that led up to the game... and you've got yourself a muddy mess to say the least! I was prepared to sit under Shane's tent to stay out of the rain... and I was prepared to sit through a rainy football game for hours... but I definitely was NOT so much prepared to stand in mud up to my ankles to tailgate! We knew it was going to be bad when we got to our lot and the owner stopped us to ask if we had 4WD... when we verified that we did, he let us proceed. As we entered the lot, we realized why he had asked us that. There were cars, vans, and suv's stuck all over! Nothing that the trusty dusty Expedition couldn't handle though: ) We made it to our usual spot, and as the 6 of us piled out, we could not believe how muddy it was. We got Shane's tents out, but we couldn't even get our chairs out because we would have just sunk. It was hard to walk without slipping or getting a shoe stuck in the mud; needless to say it was a pretty calm day of tailgating. Joel even took a tumble down a hill after the game trying to get back to our spot. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that: ) If you don't believe just how muddy it was, check out the pictures! Click on the collage so you can see the pictures closer up... yeah... it was a mess. We did somehow manage to still have a great time, and the rain actually stopped by gametime! The first half was kind of boring, but with the change to the playclock this year, the game flew by. And in case we haven't rubbed it in enough, the HAWKS did indeed win: )
